X300 and X308 memory seating systems are VERY SIMILAR.
You need to look at both 15-50 Front Seat Memory – Potentiometers in X300
and 501-51 Memory Systems in X308
I uploaded these TSBs several years ago in the large file downloads.
You might want to just take Doug's advice and just switch it to manual.
The labor is around 5 hours and the position sensor potentiometers are about $150 each (there are 5).
You might replace one or two and some are easier to replace than others but I always recommend replacing ALL at the same time (do it once and do it right).
I have not done this repair in several years but I remember it was about $1500 total when I worked at the Dealer.
Everyone wanted it done under Warranty but hardly anyone did it 'customer-pay' when the warranty expired.
Read the TSBs and make a decision.
