Got curious about this....went out this evening and tried to lock my wife's S-type with my X300 key. No go. Tried the spare key to my daughter's S-type (03) in my wife's 05 and it locked right up. No joy on unlock, though.

Haven't tried either S-type key in my x300, but suspect they won't lock it.
