Default Engine won't shut off after new ignition harness

Hi guys.

So my car is stranded at a garage in spain, and ive been trying to get it fixed.

I ordered a new wire harness for the ignition, and succes. Now the car will run again.

Now a new problem has occured. The engine wont stop, unless i unplug the ecu.

My mechanic says that the wire harness i ordered has some extra plugs, that dont go anywhere, so i just wnated to check with you guys, if its the right harness i bought.

the serial is LNA3340GE, and on the website it said, it should fit my early 95 X300 3.2L model.

Hi runerk,

I'm sorry to hear that your car is stranded in Spain and that you have received no replies to your request for help. I have revised the title of your thread so others will know the nature of your issues, so hopefully some of our knowledgeable X300 owners and mechanics will reply.

It might help us if you could explain the original problem that prompted you to have a new ignition harness installed.

Checking at jaguarclassicparts.com, it appears the correct petrol injection harness for a 3.2L up to VIN 739426 is LNA3340BG, but that part number was superseded by LNA3340GB, the harness for cars from VIN 739427 to 746612:

LNA3340GE shows up as the harness for cars from VIN 746613 to 787953, which may explain the extra connectors.

Cheers,

Don

This happened on a 2002 XKR and the answer was "Jaguar dealership found there was a wire bundleby the throttle body that was rubbing and causing a short that is responsiblefor the condition experienced." https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ng-key-133276/
