The 240Z had a 2.4 liter straight six. The 260Z and 280Z/ZX had the inline six as well. The later ones had the V6.

There you go, even the inline 6 was the same. (I'm fuzzy on the details--driving a Big Wheel and various Hotwheels at the time.) What a compliment from Datsun though.
