Just bought a 1995 XJR. Having trouble passing emissions test. The Jag failed on HC gpm 3.7160, and CO GPM 62.6223 on the first test. Note it is about 5 times higher then legal limit.I Checked the codes and I am getting a P1138 lack of HO2s12-sensor indicates rich. So I replaced spark plugs, took both upper o2 sensors and cleaned them overnight in gas and carb cleaner mixture, cleaned mas, tightened all vacuum hoses,changed out the K&N filter and put in a paper stock one. Took it back to the emissions and the numbers were worse then before! Could it be the air pump? Or something else?The car always starts and runs good. The car has 98K miles on it. What should I be looking for? gas pressure,bad coil, mas, or something else? I have one month left on the temp tag. Please need help . Thanks again Bas
