Fuel Indicator gremlins
Two fuel top-ups ago, my fuel gauge went to "empty" and fuel low level caution illuminated upon startup. I made a couple more errand stops on the way home and the fuel gauge climbed steadily, achieving "Full" approximately 1.5 hours later. Stops were relatively short, and I didn't notice any discernible difference in level between shutdown and startup.
Last top-up, again, on crank up from the fuel pits, fuel gauge to E and lo level caution illuminated. This time, non-stop drive home and the gauge rose slowly to somewhere above 3/4 over the 45 min drive. Indicating "Full" on tickover next day.
In both instances, prior to fueling, I was just below 1/4 tank and fuel low level caution was NOT illuminated. Anyone know what's going on? Fuel indicating system seems to work 4.0 after it gets the immediate post-top-up belch out of its hair.
