Fuel line clamping

Fuel line clamping
I was looking for something else in my X300 info pages.
I have not found what I was looking for, YET.
What I did read, and noted in the brain, was that the "clamping" of any fuel line on any X300 car is a NO NO.
The flexible fuel lines are a plastic type product, for emission control, and this "plastic" does NOT return to its previous form if bent/clamped or any other crimping action.
Sometimes I read of people clamping the fuel lines prior to removing a fuel related item, to reduce fuel spillage, mmmmmm. Maybe not such a good idea.
It went on to say that, "if this action is undertaken the fuel flow will be severly restricted", which is NOT good.
I hope this helps someone someday.
