Garage door opener failed unit?

Garage door opener failed unit?
Hey guys, trying to program my garage door opener with zero success by using the methods posted here on my 1996 xj12. The light does not blink at all. Not when I push the buttons, not when I hold them down. Not in any ignition position or even with car running. Trying to clear the codes by pressing 1 and 4 and holding also gives zero indication of life. I took down the overhead console and the only plug going to it is plugged in. Everything else works fine like the sunroof and map lights. Could my garage door opener module be bad? Or is there something simple I'm missing?

Not ALL X308 or X100 GDO modules are 'CODE PROTECTED' or 'ROLLING CODE'.
The early ones had a RED LED to indicate NON rolling code transmitters.
The later ones were AMBER and have this feature.
Be aware of this before rummaging through a salvage yard and get the wrong one.
When I worked at the dealer we had more than a few customers that could NOT program the GDO to their house.
BRAND NEW 1997/98 Jaguar XK8 at the time had the RED indicator lamp (The 98 X308 did) and no matter how they tried, the GDO would not work in their BRAND NEW HOUSE with their BRAND NEW CAR!!
The service writer would often tell us to just order the ROLLING CODE transmitter and claim the 'faulty' NON rolling code in warranty and replace it.
I think we got 'caught' and Jaguar was NOT happy that perfectly good (but incompatible) transmitters were being replaced in warranty.
Jaguar issued a letter indicating that they reserved the right to update the car without having to 'retroactively' refit all previous models unless it was a SAFETY issue.

So here is something new. I got one of the X308 console. I did do the light conversion first. After I completed that and hooked it up it worked great on my "older" rolling code garage door. It was a Chamberlin liftmaster. Now on my new liftmaster, with MyQ built in I could not get it to work. I would put the remote up to it and sometime it would sit there and blink at me but sometimes it would go like it synced up but when I pushed the yellow button on my garage door to sync up it would just blink like it was not programmed......Anyone have any ideas? Worse case at least I got one to work....oh and it is the one with the yellow light.

Don't know anything about Liftmaster or MyQ.
I have lots of cars and also remotes that operate the garage doors. I found out that the Overhead Door Rolling code devices can only program 4 or 5 separate remotes, handheld or vehicle mounted. Not enough for my needs. But Overhead has a universal receiver that allows another 4 or 5 and simply replicates the push-button contacts when a signal is received. It is a Rolling Code receiver and it works with the standard vehicle transmitters, including this X300.
It's an option to stay out of the rain on occasion.

I have two liftmaster/chamberlain wall mounted GDOs in my shop for the 10 foot doors.
None of my XJ sedans or my 2000 XJR will sync up with them.
I have an 'older' (ten years old) ceiling mounted chamberlain 3/4 HP 'rolling-code' GDO for the 16' house door that works with all of the Jaguars,
The MyQ door openers must be incompatible with the regular 'rolling-code' GDO transmitters from years ago?
