Handbrake cable into backplate
HI,
I wonder if anyone can help.
I've noticed that where the handbrake / parking brake cable enters the backplate, there is a small tube with two bolts which pass through into a metal fitting upon which the brake shoe fits.
The tube on both sides has completely rusted away and whats left can be re-used. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, did you manage to find any replacements? Ive been looking at SNG Barrats here in the UK and the it looks like this piece comes as part of the backplate and its seems to have been discontinued.
Any thoughts on what to do, or what this particular part number is?
Its highlighted in red on the image
Thanks
