Default Hard fuel tank lines.

So, guys, I'm working on by son's "95 X300 and I noticed the hard lines coming out of the fuel tank, both feed lines and return, are rusted to pieces. Coming from Long Island, NY that doesn't surprise me. I am expecting leaking fuel lines in the future. Can I get hard lines from American sources that I can bend into shape like hard brake lines? I don't want to replace the filter because that will cause a leak indeed. The goal is to replace all the lines including the filter but.....

From my understanding there is a release tool to get them out of the tank as others have been there , not me

The source of the lines are problematic

In the US with certain auto parts stores ( Advance Auto Parts ) they have a kit and solid straight lines to bend and fabricate your own

I'm having problems installing the fuel filter and the lines are out to me to get a micrometer measurement and will check with then on tool part # s

This is what they had on the store rack at Advanced Auto Parts as straight tube stock

The fuel filter end is a straight line into the filter end with a swedged on ferral that the B nut holds inward in place

I seemed to have run across 2 different fuel filters with different O - ring setups.

I'll look at a Fram filter as a standard

They had a bunch of the fittings and bend / flare tools on their shelf

You should be able to make them out of 10mm (feed) and 8mm (return) cunifer pipe. If you have a suitable flare too, the fittings from the old system can be made to work. If you are competent at making brake pipes, the process is similar.

Thanks guys! I think I should see about making new fittings myself. That AGS seems quite useful.
