Headlamp replacement advice
Hey all got a quick question - what is the trick to getting at those pesky headlamps ?? my inner high beam globe mustve taken a rock and is cracked. i ordered a new lamp assembly (got a cheap one on ebay) thinking i could just pop the glass cover off and replace it. well, turns out it's sealed so i'm just going to replace the whole housing, but how in god's holy name do i get to it? removing the air filter cover gave me a little more accesss, but still to tight for my hands. does the grill have to come off as well ??? anybody got the secret ?

use those wrench arm muscles and just pull it out, the lamp assembly is retained by three or four ball socket snaps that also are used for headlight adjustment.
and it will feel tight in there, but don't worry, just keep pulling, and you'll get it free.
I prefer this method only because you will probably only run into trouble removing the whole lamp/bracket assembly which does involve removing of the bumper.

err forgot to mention, it'll be easier to get your hands around it if you remove the little trim piece that surrounds the headlamps.
this is held in with one torx screw up top inbetween the two beams, and clips on the bottom, which when pried carefully, will come out with ease.
then, it should all become clear
