Heater, or "I'd like to leave my rubber mallet on the pegboard this winter"
#21
So I popped my hood and checked out the pump while it should have been running... nothing. Not even the slightest vibration. I'm going to replace it with a generic one, as has been done before by other members, and see if that helps. I'd like to do the brushes, but being up in Canada, parts like that are hard to come by.
Thanks guys, I'll let you all know how it goes!

Here is the post AholBro1 was referring to (With pics & instructions). Changing out the brushes is VERY easy. If you can't source new ones, then simply stop by your local thrift shop and buy a $2 blender, food processor, drill, or basically any other electric item of that size. The brushes in their motors will be a close enough match to what you need. The carbon of the brushes can be easily sized to perfect fitment with a nail file.

These 5mm x 5mm x 18mm available from Amazon will work fine. You may have to file them down a bit to fit into their holders, but that's easily accomplished with a nail file. They come with pigtails preinstalled to make soldering much easier. They come in a pack of 15 for $8us. It's good to have spares since the other electrical motors in the vehicle also use the same size brushes and your blower motor brushes are certain to wear out at some point as well. I've also done a writeup on replacing those. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-repair-99420/
