Default If not coils, then what? Help!!!

I hope someone can add some knowledge to this brain of mine. I started getting random misfire code and lean fuel about a week ago. Since I've never changed but one coil and it was with a used one, I went ahead and ordered a set of six and drove the car gently. Well the last day has turned into what was just a little rock back and forth at the red light to stauling out almost anytime I stop. Undrivable to say the least. So I decided this evening to take the old plugs out and put the new in to make the install tomorrow quick and painless. What I found, however, is that every plug is fouled and has gas on it. Not on the sides of the wells like a gasket leak (that was done months ago), but every one.

Is this still a symptom of coils or is it something else most likely?

Tips?

Update: on a whim and in the dark of the night since I need a car for work tomorrow i took the inlet hose to the throttle body off and gave it a nice hard spray and jammed a soaked rag in there with the tips of my fingers trying to get to the sensor part despite everyone saying to leery of it...I was desperate. Car drives fine and doesn't even pretend to stall now......seems like there may be some misfire so the coils will all get replaced for good measure tomorrow by the barely noticeable rock when parked but it seems I can drive her to work at least tomorrow.......any input?
