my 04 XJR was bought with 70k miles on the clock, and now has 98k. Engine still runs beautifully, but the rest of the car...not so much lol. My 98 Land Rover Discovery on the other hand is at 98k miles and everything is peachy with her except one window off the track =D

I like the thought behind this thread. I would also include any major issues that arose at a certain mileage. I am just under 131k miles.

140,000km
I bought Ol'Blue 3 months ago at 134,000 so I have added 6000 km in 3 months (excluding 3 weeks at mechanic's getting drivetrain back up to scratch).
Engine running beautifully.
My daily driver..

203000kms, sweet as I expected.

I bought it 4 years ago at 141000kms.

Timing chains/blades/dampers etc all done at 148000, just because, and they were SAD.

Was daily driver, coz "she" had the XJ-S, but now "hers" is the S Type, and it is soooooo nice to drive, the X300 is the part timer. Might move it on and get an S Type myself??>

Mine's done 165,000 miles. That's what, 265,000 km.

I bought it at 160,000 so I don't really know what it had before but so far I've given it brakes, tyres, radiator, bushes, shocks, springs, relays, bulbs, steering wheel reach driveshaft, ignition coils, crank sensor....

I'm hoping it's still got a few miles left in it!

1997 xj6L with 99.560 miles on it. engine and trans are strong but due to the beach area and tropical weather it has rusted in parts (sunroof had to replace entirely) (rear doors window frames have rusted) and bottom of driver door. not to mention the under part of the car. other than the rust and the typical electronic failures or malfunctions its ok. gotta say its the first car ive had that gets rust.

On big Red I have 123,000 miles. It had 65,000 miles when I bought it nine years ago. Only problem is the stalling from a stop and I think I might have solved that.

The 4.0L 6 in line Jag is absolutely bullet proof !

You can drive it for ever !

Claude
P.S. And if we could remove all the electroncic junk around it itr probably would be good for several million miles :-)

144,000 miles, no issues. Lacquer peel on roof at about 100,000. Most reliable jag i have owned thus far.
I would also agree that good quality oil regularly is vital. I change mine every 5,000 miles.

Sitting at 76,000. Guess mines the youngest.

  1. I have no ABS. Could fix it but choose not to.
  2. I replaced the stereo and speakers. The old ones worked, I guess.
  3. The plastic part on the bottom of the radiator is cracked. I suspect this is my fault. A very costly mistake for misjudging a curb.
  4. Obviously my clock works only when it wants to.
  5. Antenna doesn't like to move so I leave that sucker tall and proud.
It's been a few months since I've driven it but I don't think there's been any other major mechanical issues unless I fried the motor driving around with a useless radiator.

With exceptional care and several up and coming road trips I hope I can clock as many as you all have.

My headliner is still running strong, the leather still looks decent, and for 15/16 years in the harsh California weather The Green Machine is still the best looking thing on the road.
