Default Jaguar Electrical Diagrams FAQ

Hi folks, you might find this link to a whole host of Jaguar electrical diagrams to be a useful source for electrical information. (came accross it with m0t0rm0uth last Autumn)

The site seems to include most Jaguar models by Model/Year. There is undoubtedly some repetition, but there are just too many files for me to download and cross reference them all.

The files are in pdf. format and as is stated, some of them are quite large.

The site: captainjaguarscathouse.com

The Link: Captain Jaguars Electrical Diagrams

Hope you find it useful, if you have not already come across it. There are also other interesting sections in the Resources page.

All the best

Default wiring diagrams unavailable

When I click on the XJ6 1995 diagrams I get a black screen but no download.

Also, I could not download any of the faqs documents on the introductory thread. Got a message that the terms of service had been violated on the storage site and the files were deleted.

Captain Jaguars is a great site for obtaining electrical diagrams for Jaguar Cars. Hence why the link rather than the files.

I've just selected a random model + year and was led straight to the download. But you do need to register the D/Load on your PC.

I have plenty of diagrams and info for your cars on my page JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource if you need it.

Looks like Captain Jag's Cat House is gone. Or at least offline. Anyone know?

What a shame! Let’s hope that they are rebuilding it.

Gus,

I have consulted your website many times and am grateful for all the resources offered there. Glad to know you're a member of this forum.

On behalf of all the owners and mechanics you've assisted, THANKS!

Cheers,

Don

Rhett,

That really is a shame. I agree with Gus, let's hope they're rebuilding the site. I've found lots of useful info there, not the least of which was the VIN decoder that clearly showed the model year breakout by VIN.

Here's hoping they're back up and running soon.

Cheers,

Don

Captain Jag's Cat House looks to be working OK now.

Just downloaded the wiring diagram for my XJR 6. Now I know where to find the fuel pump relays.
Regards

Hmmm. That's weird. The only link for Captain Jaguar that shows up on my page is in Post #1 of this thread, and it's still broken:

Captain Jaguars Electrical Diagrams

Checking the old link for the home page for Captain Jaguar's Cathouse doesn't have any of his old Jag content either:

www.captainjaguarscathouse.com

Is it possible that you got your electrical diagram from Gus' site, JagRepair, rather than Captain Jaguar's Cathouse?

JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource

Any info would be much appreciated. I'd sure love to have access to all the info that was once available from Captain Jaguar to supplement the info available from Gus.

Thanks,

Don

Don, FWIW, the link in post #1 AND the copy you posted in #16 above, worked for me.

Edit: Oops! Just noticed the fine print: "page is under construction, coming soon"

Looks like it works, but I guess it is CaptainJaguarsCathouse logo with a bunch of ad links

My understanding is that Jaguar are indeed getting VERY protective of their trade marks including the Jaguar font, growler, leaper and Jaguar lozenge. They have been having discussions with the various Jaguar car clubs and prohibiting them from "infringements". I guess traders dealing in parts for our cars are going to have a hard time any time soon!

Hmmm, funny you should say that, I was just talking to one of the owners of prestige Jaguar recently, he advised he has heard many similar stories of people being shut down, use of the name prohibited!
