Default Just hit the 100,000 mi mark

I just hit the 100,000 mile mark in my '95 XJ6 this week. So I've put almost 4,000 miles on it since I bought it in late January of this year. Here's hoping I get another 65,000 or so out of it before I get a 2002 XJR or maybe a X350. Bought the XJ6 for $4,995. My plan is to buy nice cars for under $10K cash from here on out. See pics.

Yes, my '92 XJ40 seems to be freeing up a bit at 260000 kilometers.

Good plan on the under $10k cars. We have had great luck so far with a similar approach. Our $4300 96 XJ6 had 72k when we bought it and over 20k later the only part to fail was a crank position sensor. There are an unbelievable number of really nice used high dollar cars out there for minimal money if you are careful and research them in advance. Personally I think the X300 cars are the best value out there. You see so many with low miles and great care for cheap plus people who don't know cars think they are much newer than they are.

Bought my '95 in '07 for $3200 with 120,000 on the odometer. Now at 163,000 and repairs have been: front shocks, some front bushings, tires, front brakes, and a side marker light. At only 100,000 you're in great shape.

I'm looking a 95 XJ6, and now 102,000 miles doesn't scare me as much. New to Jaguars, but not British "reliability and longevity."

Thanks for all of the encouraging comments! Maybe, like me, my car is only middle-aged
