Lagging and Starting issues
First off, I love my '97 XJ6. I am writting due to a recent lack of power. She will not kick down full throttle. Then, I parked her the other night and she wouldn't start the next day. Then after sitting over night again, started 1st try. I am thinking it may be the fuel pump? Or should I start with the TB/TPS? As you know, I am new to this. Any info/advice you have would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Many things come to mind.
I would change the fuel filter (behind the LHR wheel), as a starting point. If that filter is more than a few years old, or of unknown age, it should be changed, and that will take any aditional load off the fuel pump.
A blocked, or sad, air filter elemant will add to power loss.
TPS maybe.
Air mass meter , maybe.
Old age spark plugs, maybe.
I always go for the simple basic service type items first, and work up from there, coz these X300 are super reliable in the electrical areas.

Same problem and I have a high wavering idle 1k-1.5k.
It's totally random for me hot or cold left 5 minutes or 5 days it may start really easily which it normally does. However when it doesnt it acts like its flooded holding the throttle at 50% is the only way to start it and it takes a couple goes of 20 seconds of cranking for it to happen.
Will have an obd2 scanner asap and changing my fuel filter asap, plugs have just been changed and gapped properly this made no difference to the problem.
