Low idle surge
Hi, I have noticed that my Xj6 seems to be a little weak on power but it isn't missing. However, when I first put it in gear and depress the gas pedal a little the engine surges. It sorta lopes if I leave my foot in the same place on the pedal. If I give it more gas it totally goes away. But the surge is pronounced if I don't keep pushing the pedal down. If I leave it at idle it seems to be pretty normal but just a little gas throws it off. I was tuned up last year and isn't coding any lights on the dash. Any one got any idea's?

You mention your "XJ6"...perhaps you meant to say XJ8....or you are on the wrong forum.

Missing/Bumping while running
I have a wonderful 1997 Jaguar xj6. Months ago it flag me with a check engine light. I took it to jag and they told me that the EGR valve was bad. I replaced it and all seemed "pretty" good but not sure it was perfect. Then it started missing or bumping again. Took it to a shop and was told the fuel injectors were leaking down, which is common for this age car and I needed new injector.
I don't get a engine code and it runs pretty good but only misses every now and again...except when it is cold and that seems to make it worse.
Any thoughts on what this might be?
