Did you get any promising results during your testing?

One side of my sunroof sits a bit lower than the other one in the tilt position. Is there a way to manually move one side of the mechanism?

Also the service manual call for molykote 111 grease. Is Carlube lm2 a decent substitute?

Hi GB, I’d be very interested in a set of replacement sunroof parts for my XJR6. How are you getting on with the development and project? Thanks.

Is this the spring you're referring to?

Exclamation LH Drain Support Not Available

They do not have the LH part. It's been on backorder for a while. Any suggestions? https://www.jagbits.com/product/HNB1775AA.html

This is the RH part, HNB1774AA. I assume they also have the LH part, HNB1775AA.

Default 3D Files sunroof x300 xj12 1994

Hi, I live in Brazil and I have a XJ12 1994 and exactly the same parts form your project are broken in my sunroof. Have you the 3D file ? I would like to print it here or rebuild it in a CNC in aluminium. Congratulations for your post. rgs. sidney

I should have both sides available at some point in the near future. Once i have proof of concept, and printed tests for fitment. I'll send the metal bit out to a CNC shop and see what they can do. If it all works, I could get more made, if anyone is interested... Don't now the price yet but so far I'm about $3500 deep down the English rabbit hole on the project.. haha

Default I am doing the same in Brazil for my XJ12

Dear friends. I just had 3 pieces drawn in 3D and used the file available here for the fourth piece. See the result in the attached photos and videos. I printed it on nylon but it didn't looks good so I reprinted it on nylon with carbon fiber and it turned out fantastic. soon I will post video of the sunroof working and the 3D files for those who need it. rgs and thanks for share your experience.
See in its links some video with the parts detais

Hi General, it's worked for some days but the both long parts broked. I reprint then using a nylon carbon fiber made in USA (harder) and it worked fine but the long one (arm) doesn't worked for a long time then I made it in inox and I will remounted its this week and I will post. I believe now it will works perfectly.

The long arm is a bit problematic. The original is made of "pot metal" and prone to breakage. I modeled it and had a new set printed in stainless steel by one of the online prototype services. It took a couple of iterations for them to get it right, but the result was a part that is quite a bit stronger than the original. The requirement of this part in the mechanism is such that I done think plastic, even carbon-nylon, will produce a workable solution. I'm not familiar with "inox", is that a metallic or plastic material?
The drain channels printed by James83g4kadm look pretty good. The model used removed all the openings and material reduction features necessary for injection molding, so the part is liable to be stronger than the original. I'll be interested in how the material and fabrication process hold up in this application.
The other part that looks good is the sliding driver assemble, nylon and aluminum by Genetic_Billionaire way up in the string. I recall that the original driver appears to be plastic, but is a metal part for strength over-molded with plastic for lubricity I suppose.
This string is getting a bit long. Anyone know of a way to consolidate and summarize the information contained?

Inox is stainless steel in several European languages.

I am not sure he is on anymore. I tried to pm him and no response. Man those would be very handy. Heck I would pay for them. I really would like to know how he got the rivets out and put back in. Going to try a dremel tomorrow and have a few ideas on the replacement
