Default Need help ASAP PLEASE

I have a 1996 XJ6 that is believed to be in anti theft mode. This had been after changing a fuel pump (which was not needed) and a fuel regulator. This has crippled me financially as I was also living in the vehicle at one point please help

God bless

Welcome to the forums Kray75,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X300 forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

There is a inertia / crash switch that can trip easily dropping out the fuel pump

It will always be on the car's right fwd of the right front door hinge

Following will be a pic for a right hand steering model with the gas pedal in the pic

This switch does not always reset so you can jumper the 2 white wires with a paper clip on the 3 wire connector

There is a fuse # 10 that controls the fuel pump relay and for this fuse to be powered the relay in the corner of the right heelboard fuse box must close on key rotation

You can swap the left engine bay fuse box relay for the righ heelboard fuse box relay

You can have the key in the run position with engine not started and the heelboard fuse box relay must click in your fingers on relay removal

The following pic will show the OBD 2 connector as this same fuse powers your OBD 2 reader
