Default New Brakes, whats a good brand??

hey everyone.... Just checking out to see what are the best barkes to put on a x300. Right now I have brembo rotors, and akebono pads, but both are so expensive! Whats a couple of other good brands that ar not so expensive? I am very pleased with the akebono pads, I have no brake dust at all As far as a rotor goes, if its a vented rotor arnet they all the same?? No matter what brand you use? thanks...

I know most rotors are very similar, while most people like the combo you've got right now, I found myself very happy with Akebono pads and Replacement (it's a brand) rotors. I decided that getting new cheap rotors would be better than having the other ones turned. I know some people liked their Centric (I think that's the brand) rotors. As for pads, I cannot say much.

Default Good setup

I can second Stevens suggestion. I have the same pads, and I went for an unknown brand on rotors - whatever Motorcars LTD was selling. Three years ago and still doing well.

Also -- I flushed the fluid and put in Valvoline Synthetic dot 4(ish)

Thank you,
