Default New to the Jag world

Hello all, I just purchased a 1995 XJ6 Vanden Plas. It is phantom black on some nice 17" tsw wheels. The interior needs some work but I found a parts car that hopefully has all the donor parts I need. I have a few questions if you guys don't mind.

1) it needs a valve cover gasket is there a DIY for this?
2) while I'm doing the covers I wanted to do the plugs, is their a DIY for this too?
3) I plug on the oil pan is leaking bad is there a washer that I need or where can I get a new plug?

Thanks in advance for any help!!! I'll post pics as soon as I can

All are very easy.

You need the following for a rocker cover gasket renew:

1x http://www.britishparts.co.uk/.sc/ms...COVER%20GASKET (main gasket)

6x http://www.britishparts.co.uk/.sc/ms...%20PLUG%20SEAL (spark plug tube seals)

13x http://www.britishparts.co.uk/.sc/ms...20COVER%20SEAL (bolt seals)

For Spark plug renew:

Depending on the state of the existing plugs, you may just want to clean and re-gap? Otherwise:

6x Champion RC9YCC plugs (I have heard RC12YCC recommended for idle problems, but RC9YCC is usually the best choice)

You might need to set the gaps in the new plugs... in that case you'll need a gap measure tool. Gaps are 0.035 inch (0.09mm).

and probably 6x http://www.britishparts.co.uk/.sc/ms...0COIL%20GASKET (coil gaskets)

Oil plug seal:

http://www.britishparts.co.uk/.sc/ms...0PLUG%20WASHER (seal washer)

Installation of all the above is really easy. There are probably guides already, but let me know if you get stuck (or if you don't have a clue where to start).

The links are to british parts UK, but buy from elsewhere if you can get better prices).
