I'm 61, feel like 110, just about to buy my first Jag, a '96 X306 XJR (if I can find out if it's ok to use gasohol 95 in it, already posted here but it hasn't appeared yet).

It'll cost me here in Bangkok the equivalent of USD28,700/GBP18450. Bargain, eh, but it may make me feel younger!

...43 & just got my first Jag 6 months ago. Its been more fun & more grief than any other car I have owned.... My wife (33) loves it, but prefers driving the LR cause she sits up high.....

I'm 54 1/2 My parents brought me home from the hospital in a 1952 Xk120, I figure that's where the love for jags started.

 

62 and purchased a first Jaguar, 1996 Vanden Plas in mint condition. 74k miles and wife loves the smooth ride. Need to get shock bushings and inside rearview mirror replaced. A few minor issues that I have to take care of later. Have been watching the show "Wheeler Dealers" and learnt a lot about car repair from Ed China the fantastic mechanic and co host.

Mind 21, body 61. After owning many examples of Volvo, Land Rover, and a myriad of other badges, the X300 is my first Jag, owned for 3 yrs. Other owners told me they get under your skin and it's a fact. Wish I'd started earlier. Sir William Lyons said "The car is the closest thing we will ever create to something that is alive". Very apt for Jaguars. Would I change mine? Yep, for a brand new X300 if such a beast existed, just to experience it straight from the showroom! (or maybe an F type.....). In my dreams!

 

67 years young ! Bought my first Jag ( 1996 X300 ) in 2005 with 113, 000 on the 4.0 liter. Now have 180,000 miles on her. In my opinion, best car I have ever owned. Just had the rear shocks and bushings replaced and the car rides like a dream. Took a 330 mile round trip to Cocoa Beach, Florida, over the weekend and averaged 22.5 mpg. Very impressive in my opinion when you're running 75 to 80 mph most of the trip! The old gal needs a paint job and a driver seat redo and I'm trying to decide whether to spend all that money. A very tough decision. My other ride is a Ram 2500 Cummins diesel with 135, 000 miles which I bought new in 2001.

 

Sound like me, 97 XJR with 109k and my other ride is 2000 Ram 2500 Cummins (2WD Reg Cab) with 135k miles which I bought in 2005 with 35k miles.

My cat needs some hickory nut dents removed and rear bumper clear coat fixed , other than that, quite the beauty. Still get weird looks from people when they see 34yr old driving it.

 

I got "given" my first Jaguar aged around 11 Jaguar XJ6 4.2 SIII and I used to drive it up and down my grandmas drive. It was just sat in her garage and did nothing. I did a few repairs on it here and there but overall it was a rot box. The car was eventually sold to make space.

My first "on the road car" was a 1969 spitfire mk3 at 17 (still have this now). Then at 19 I got a 924 Porsche. Then at 20 I brought a x300 3.2. Which i still have now. At 23 I also brought an XJS celebration. Originally meant to replace the x300. But truth be told I prefer driving the x300... and I darent use the XJS everyday as its just too clean. So its another "fun car" ha!

Im currently 26 and obviously broke.

 

I bought my first car ever ( x300 sovereign ), then I was 25 age (2008).

Drove and repaired Jags in the 1980's and always wanted one but could never afford it!

Just bought a 3.2 Sport after looking at a few over the past 18 months before finding this one. I just wish I had done it years ago!

 

Bought my first Jaguar (1992 XJ6 Sovereign) from my great aunt when I was 20. The car is a month younger than me. She had it for 18 years and loved the car immensely, taking it out only in the summer, and garaging it the rest of the year. She wanted to make sure it went to good hands. Ever since I was a little kid I admired the car, and to this day I remember how special it felt to be riding in such a beautiful car, and I still get that feeling today every time I sit behind the wheel.

I've had that car for almost a year and a half now (I'm currently 22), and I purchased my second Jaguar, a 1996 XJ12 a few weeks ago. This car doesn't have a sentimental connection like my '92, but it's still a very rare and very amazing car. I was basically being sold as a repair car, as it wouldn't drive over 35MPH. The owner thought the car needed a new engine, and the gas station service shop he brought it to didn't have a clue about it and it's big V12. I took the risk and purchased it, and had it towed back home 50 miles. Once I got it back, I did a more thorough look under the hood, and found the B-Bank throttle linkage to be loose, meaning that when you opened the throttle, only the A-bank throttle butterfly was opening, the B-bank throttle was staying closed. After 5 minutes with a wrench, I had a perfect working car, and aside from a small power steering o-ring leak, the car is mechanically sound and cosmetically excellent.

bought and have now sold the XKR coupe. Received unexpected offer from my father for his XJ6 and of course I leapt at the offer. Way slower, does not turn heads with the under 60 crowd here in Denver, CO USA, but there is a certain charm in taking over your parent's previously premium car. Will be keeping this around for my daughters to drive in 10 years...

 

I'm 41 now, bought my second Jaguar this year.

 

I am 65...and a bit. Two other owners living around Brisbane are similarly aged.
We have owned the car for a year, and its taken every minute of that that time to sort out the way things work. White seems to be an unusual colour.
