Parts query
I intend to give the old girl a thorough going over and part of this entails replacing all of the water hoses and various drive belts, amongst other things.
Does anybody have any recommendations as to where I might source these, preferably in the UK, as I'm based in Ireland. Main dealer prices here are pretty exhorbitant, as is everything else!
Thanks.

1. Get the part numbers from Genuine Jaguar Parts and Jaguar Accessories for classic Jaguars from Jaguar Heritage Parts UK
2. Click on the part number and check if the part was fitted to any other models
3. Note the prices from the following (using the part number where possible):
Jaguar Classic Parts themselves (you can pick up from your local dealer, which is nice)
British Parts
SNG Barratt
David Manners
Berkshire Jag Components
Rimmer Brothers (although they generally just match Jaguar prices)
eBay (although the usual caveats apply)
4. Do a Google search on the part number, to see if anything else comes up.
5. Based on the price, decide if you want original, OEM or pattern parts. Some places like British Parts only tend to do pattern parts, but don't make it clear. Places like David Manners are much more obvious about it, adding * and # characters to the part numbers.
Finally, when on JCP, don't forget that some VIN specific parts are superceded and some are genuinely different. If you see a part for your specific VIN range, it will say "supersession" if the later revision parts are fine.
