Default Radiator coping with hot ambient temperatures?!

I have installed a replacement radiator in my 1996 XJR and it does not seem to be up to the job. The original is the CCC6167 and the superseded part is MNA4190AA (this is the one which I've had fitted).

Unfortunately it really doesn't seem up to the job. A visual inspection suggests that it is lighter weight and less substaintial that the original and - unfortuantely for the sake of my cooling fans - it's not as efficient in its role.

Has anyone else found this to be the case? Is there a workaround?

I wonder whether someone from a hot country might have an answer!

What are the indicators that lead to the conclusion the rad is "not up to the job"?
