Tool kit inventory
Has anyone got an inventory of what was in the kit? They are rare in the U.S. and expensive so, I plan to try and make one using foam. l kit inventory

I bought one of the tool kits relatively cheaply, a few years ago , for my Daimler 6.
the kit was still in its cellophane, in-used.
not long after I got it, an old lady came to see me (I am an orthopaedic surgeon). She was troubled by a screw that was protruding through the skin. It was put in in 1953 when she broke her ankle falling on Ben Nevis. She didn’t have insurance and didn’t want to spend thousands having a minor op. I said “Just a minute...”
I ran down to my car, grabbed the red “Jaguar” screwdriver, ran back upstairs, cleaned the tip with alcohol, warned her it would hurt a bit, and took out the screw. She was very happy, and I didn’t charge a cent.
very versatile, those Jag tool kits..

It's all well and good to have the original tool kit that came with the car, but really 150.00 plus for a dual blade screwdriver and a couple of open end wrenches? I would just buy some closed cell foam for the base and make my up own kit. Extra bulbs are nice but I bought a new headlamp bulb at an Autozone store when I was on vacation. If you are blowing fuses you have some real problems with your electrics. Changing fuses would be a short lived repair. When I took my new to me X300 to Washington state, part of a three thousand mile trip up the coast I put together a little kit in an old leather handbag which I placed in the trunk alongside the spare tire.
I found a nice tool roll available from British Parts Northwest, It has plenty of space for an assortment of real tools. The real peace of mind is carried in my wallet. An extended range plan from AAA!

Just an FYI for X300 owners, if you venture to the X308 section you may know that I make under-hood tool kits for the X308, and have sold several to owners in various US states as well as several overseas countries. I was recently asked if I could do an under-hood toolkit for the X300s, and I finally managed to get hold of a tool kit tray to use as a pattern. They are on eBay if anyone is interested, (just search for X300 tool kit) and also here on the Forum marketplace. .

real tool kit
Here's a link for what the original looks like.

I have 2 of them still in factory plastic. (sorry not selling) but I think the tool selection in yours is probably more useful.
Nicely done
