Default Rear bumper mounts

Did anyone ever successfully managed to undo the adjuster on these without destroying the aluminium part? I have a spare pair here that I could experiment on and looking for ideas to try.

its really a tough job, all I can say is soak with penetrating oil. I had changed a radiator an the threads were destroyed in the process due to corrosion,it was quite the mess, steve

In case anyone wonders, its not really possible to undo these, I had it soaked in a mix of gearbox oil and acetone for 2 weeks, cleaned it up as good as possible, placed it securely in a vice and even my 300nm torque wrench didn't work in 10-15 seconds I've managed before partially destroying the mount. That said I've figured out a way to undo it, kinda.

This is what I started with:

and this is how I've done it:

The right mount was partially destroyed by impact wrench so when I cut it up on one side it did crack entirely when I tried to extend it, the left side though, I've managed to cut it on one side and extend it without cracking it into two pieces. The case around it hold it well in place even like this and adjusters are now free. Just need to zap the extra bracket with a welder now and will be going back on the car, they still feel quite tight in the threads and will work with no issues and can recommend this approach as the only viable option probably

The threads inside can be difficult to clean up after you get it out but I've used some WD40 and a drill with a socket on the big bolt(M30 worked with sides grinded down as above), few times both ways and they cleaned up well, almost like using a tap.

Hope this helps someone!
