Heh heh. Yeah, I do. She's a great lady, actually, and she does plenty of favors for me so, what the heck.

Life's too short to be enemies !

You and the other techs do fix cars online, through this forum. If it wasn't for the generous nature of people on the forum, I and many others like me, wouldn't be able to have the pleasure of running a Jaguar. Thanks for all your help.

I wonder how long this thread would be if the original title had been, "Reliability of 95 - 97 XJ6 electrics".

Would we have been on page 10 yet?

I remember seeing a 4.0 AJ6 with a hole in the side of the block. This has been the only time I saw one killed. I had another one where the owner "misplaced" one of the bolts holding the idle valve in place. The bolt ended up in cylinder 5. The engine ran fine but had a bit of a noise. Other than rattly upper chain tensioners, these engines are great.

Hi Doug. This is an old thread but i hope i can get an answer. Just took my XJ6 1995 thru the car wash and bent the antenna. I noticed in your list of repairs the cost of $20 for the replacement of the antenna mast. Can you please let me know where you purchased it. Thank you very much.

Ebay, as I recall. The details of the purchase are a bit foggy...it was 3-4 years ago

Glad you found it. For future part searches, once you get to your vehicle in Rock's catalog, there is a text window with "Find category" beside it. Type in the name of the part of interest and it will highlight the categories where that word is mentioned, or open to your part if there aren't multiple returns. You'll have to speak 'Murrican, though...."Antenna" pops open immediately to this one: ÜRO PARTS Part # LNA4134AA Antenna Mast

whereas if you try "Aerial" it just sits there like Tar Baby

Unhappy Spring delatching tool

I need to replace a broken front passenger side marker bumper light and one of the manuals I found said to use such a tool. Any idea where to find this tool or can I use anything else to remove the bumper light.

I'm searching the Internet for instructions on how to remove/pull this turn signal light but so far I haven't found any instructions. Thanks for your help.
