Remote control - effectiveness from car
Hi, over the past few months I have notice that the distance from which I can open and close the doors on my car with the remote control seems to have reduced considerably. I have to be within a couple of yards from the car for it to operate, sometime almost on top of it!
I have replaced the batteries several times, (with what I accept maybe cheap versions), but the situations seems to be deteriorating.
Anyone else had this experience and if so is there anything that can be done to improve things? I can't see the central locking system "wearing out" but maybe it does after a period of years. It's not a serious issue I accept, just annoying when I walk away from the car a few yards only to realise the remote is ineffective in locking it and i then have to walk back to the car almost within touching distance of it!
Does the remote wear?
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks.
