Repair Manual

Hi there all,
I just did upper front shocks on my x300. But I noticed a power steering line weep; the bottom one on the cooler back to rack is wet on both ends. Its not marking the street but there is a weep at what seems around some of the ends of rubber.
I'm having a garage put Nokkian WGR4 tires on it next week and while the garage has it, he'll look at that line.
But, I'd like to get a repair manual to look at or even a nice parts diagram thats easy to use for not just this but other repairs that I might need to do.
I found this.

Should I buy that? other ideas?

There is a concern on the tire size to prevent tram lining or wondering as this is a common issue
Your link does not work
Manuals will follow as I edit this post , but here is a start . this is an example of the X300 front shock mounting bushings that may have been missed , Items # 13
https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.../brand/jaguar/
![Icon Dance Disco](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_dance-disco.gif)
And item # 13 and 14 ( I think as these are rubber donut isolators that sometime comes with the new shock )
These isolators are a source of a lot of loose observations and you can visually see a gap on installation , there is a source recommendation on a not inferior part from Motorcarman ( Bob )
If you look down the shock lower attach bolt with a light source on the other end you may see daylight

And another parts source besides the large offerings on E - bay

The power steering reservoir have a way of crushed hose ends at the reservoir fittings
You can cut off an inch of the original hose to have non crushed fresh hose end to clamp
Does the power steering pump make cavitation noise at this time?
Now would be the time to redfesh the power steering fluid by a drain / refill multiple times process
Both of these you can do yourself
The total car manual is too large to download on this sight so will look for the internet link as I am lacking the know - how to split the Doc in smaller halves
I have it on another computer , Official Jaguar X300 17.4 MB large 521 pages and it covers every thing except that thing you need
See attached AJ16 engine PDF as the very bottom attached file

Hello Parker 7 and All,
Thanks for these Manuals. I did organize them on my computer. I'm not so good with Mac and still learning. Anyhow I'm not sure if I have a bad wheel Bearing in the rear. I heard a squeak last night on a trip as I started driving car in slow traffic and driving. But then took the car from home out about 50 miles and took family night skiing. After moterway driving, I couldn't hear squeak anymore even at slow speeds. But just thinking about it made me look at Section 9 in the manual about wheel bearing replacement. I've done Wheel bearings on my 67 Land Rover and they are easy; but also I have a nice Haynes print manual and also a factory big "Green Bible and Factory parts catalog on the Rover too with lots of diagrams and notes. Lovely literature! If any such book ever surfaces on the x300, I'd love to have it!! If there is a better manual from Jaguar Trust or something, it might be good to obtain?
So anyway on the wheel bearings- the Jaguar looks like it could possibly need special tools?
Is there a better write up of the procedure anywhere? I'd like to study it.
I'm not sure I even have an issue here .. well..... I have issues.... but I mean with the wheel bearing. The fronts were already repacked some years back by prev owner.
As an aside- What a lovely car to drive at night, just a lovely drive last night to the Ski area in Wachusett in Princeton Ma. (I'm using Nokian WRG-4 tires by the way.). Car feels super on back roads as well as on Route 2 at different speeds. I've had Mercedes but my new to me X300 is really special from the way it goes along to the color of the gauges; I just like it! Trying not to fall in love with it here; but it's proving difficult! Thanks again and Happy New Year.

You might open a separate thread on rear end bearing noise as there is plenty of threads along with experience from others on the area
There is a common bearing issue on this model but there are easier things to check first like the wheel bearings themselves before looking at the hard one
