Default I used leatherique in my 95XJ

and in an older Benz and both times colors were a close match-good stuff. So I figured it'd be the same with matching my '96-not! I don't know what happened to Leatherique, but I won't use 'em again. PIA
I tried the Gliptone-pricey as hell-as recommended here-but at least the color matched!!!

Gliptone (and perhaps others) makes a crack-filling material that might merit some research.

Color Plus, the best of them all, its made of natural materials specially their oil to maintain soft pliable leather.

You can adjust the shine , read the directions from Gliptone. You may have used the whole bottle . that being said you did a great job. I used it on my 20 year old x300 and am very happy.

color plus hyper fantastic materials to soften leather are made of natural seed oil (can't remember the exact name of the tree seed oil) the owner has been doing this products for so many years, she is also highly recommended by an antique car club.
