Do you have 1 square vapor canister only on the left fwd of rear wheel ?

Or 1 on each side ?

I cant get to the underneath at the moment...

Can you let me know the answer in either case? Then I will get the chance to have a look and confirm

Thank you

Mine as I looked is a 1 canister system but couldn't see the Rochector valve\

Looks like need to remove left rear tire to see

See page 60 through Y

It is probably in the same spot as the 2 canister version where the electric canister close valve is at in the illustration on page 71

801S TITLE (jagrepair.com)

Notice in the text that the 2 versions of valves are open during X engine regime

Someone I think plumbed in their Rockestor backwards

You don't have to pull the left rear tire but you'll be working right in front of it. Its on the left side, underneath the sill, just behind a medium sized black box. The valve itself is a small disc shaped item with 3 ports.

Default Pressure in fuel tank

Is it possible that the positive pressure is the gas cap and or the Rochester valve?

If you look at the plumbing on the EVAC vakve up front under the engine air filter you can make it click open / close with a 9 volt battery and blow through a hose to verify

The old gas caps had a vent but I think the newer vapor recovery systems should not

I finally found the Rochester valve....It looks like it's the original (hoses look tired and the metal clasps are quite rusty.) I guess its not a bad idea to replace it, even if it works...
