Shocks Revisited
I need to put new shocks on my newly acquired XJ6. I replaced them with Bilstein B4s on my last car, but I did not think it made it a better ride. It still felt stiff, and I am looking for a better ride. Would everyone still suggest these, or is there a different shock for a better ride? Not to worried about the cost. Just want the better ride.

I think he is looking for the softer ( comfort ) shock rebound rate with intact components such as the bushings maybe hardened and sloppy.
I have the OEM Bilstein application chart but chasing down an accountants 6 year old battery that lost it's muster in the cold

First 24 number is front
It is recommended to change the front lower shock bushing on the front ( X 2 total for car ) as this wears and you can see daylight through the bolt hole
The other different front upper shock donut bushing ( X 4 needed for car , it only applies to front shocks ) gets compressed with age and loose and you can see a gap from the wheel well as well
