Sliding roof headliner replacement - need help
I've been through a bunch of the headliner removal links, and that's sitting in the garage after a thorough cleaning. Now, I need to remove the sliding roof panels to replace the cloth on those.
I haven't had much success on how to remove the panels, and would love some help.
I selected a headliner color that matched the trim color, instead of the original coffee color. That's why I need to recover those 2 panels.
I also get to rebuild the visors, and replace all the little pieces on the overhead console, as well.
Wish me luck.

Some time back I posted a sort of "How to" item on this subject, with pictures, so a search should locate it, but basically, with the roof tilted up (open at the back) the roof liner panel will slide out back through the gap towards the rear of the car.
It is only held in by tension, with a spring type clip on either side. Refitting is a reversal. Dont know about the small panel towards the front, but think it is held in the same way, or similar. Also, with the liner panel removed, you can access the six (three each side) torx screws that holds the actual metal sun roof panel in place, thus allowing a little more access to the workings. Its no harm to mark the position of the roof panel against the tangs that it screws onto, thus helping to ensure that it sits back in at the right height/level when replacing it.
Hope this helps.
