Subs?

I'm still determined to make use of the oval subwoofer mount in the parcel shelf and I managed to find one 6x9" subwoofer by Lanzar (heard only bad things about this brand):

I'm almost tempted, but do you think there would be enough clearence for that fat magnet over the tank?
Lanzar don't deem it necessary to provide specs on the depth of it...

crutchfield has a mounting bracket that makes it so you could put a 6.5 inch sub in the shelf (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SA69...-Brackets.html) with like this sub (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_2060CVT...-10CVT654.html). just a thought.
Can anyone that the Jag parcel shelf mount uses standard 6x9" dimensions and screw positions?
EDIT: That Kicker sub is supposed to be 7.3cm deep, and I measure 6.5cm of space above the tank (and that's only on the side that doesn't have the metal strap around it!). Sub would have to be a little proud... But I'm keen to give it a try when I next have some spare cash, and I actually managed to find the sub in NZ!
Now there was someone who started a thread saying they were going to install a 6.5" sub in the parcel shelf, and promising pictures... Was that the same sub, or is there an alternative shallow mount 6.5"?
EDIT 2: Here is another one: Earthquake "SWS-6.5". Looks like mounting depth is under 5cm! Availability is a little poor.

I ended up getting a shallow mount 8in pioneer TS-SW841D. i then widened the hole cut for the 6by9 sub using a dremel tool and cut some wood dalls to level it for mounting. It adds alot of bass and makes use of the stock hole where it does not take up trunk space and cannot be seen unless the rear self is out or you pull back the carpet. i love my new system! Will post pic once i put them on my computer from my phone.

You have to remove the rear seats... But dont let that turn you away. to remove the rear seats and shelf it took me about 30 min or less this being my first time ever doing it.

About how much clearance is there between the shelf and the tank? I was looking today and was wondering if my 12 inch kickers could possibly fit. it's 20.7cm deep so this is probably way way out of the question

Roughly 6.5cm as mentioned on the last page. But thats not including the metal strap thing that goes over the tank, and that is under a third of the stock opening.

Ok so its widest points are 9x6.5inches
Its depth is 3.5inches
and the screws sit at 4.5x6.5inches apart
