Traction Control and Anti Lock lights

Traction Control and Anti Lock lights
I've had issues with the lights coming on over the years, but in the past 2 months they come on and stay on the whole drive from start to finish. I don't have a code reader that reads Jaguar specific codes, so I don't know if I'm pulling a C1095.
What could it be?
The sensors in the wheels? Do they go wrong often? How can I tell if they've gone wrong? Just wipe them off and put them back?
The soldering points in the ABS module? Where is the ABS module? I did manage to find a great tutorial here how to fix it (http://www.mediafire.com/download/rm...ABS+Repair.pdf) if anyone else is interested. I found it in another thread on JF.
If it's not one of these two issues, what else could it be?

You can guess all day but the only way to know is to read the code(s)
C1095 will cause what you describe, however. Having said that, I'm sure there are other issue that will present the same symptoms, too.
The module is in the aft right corner of the engine bay, (LHD Cars) look for all the brake lines. Module is bolted to the bottom of the pump/valve body. It's an easy R&R if you don't mind gently bending 6 or 9 brake lines (I don't have Trac-control - so you may have extra lines or something)
Motorcarman put up a good tutorial on how to repair the C1095 if that is what you have. I think I've posted a pic or two of how to remove the module somewhere here...I'll see if I can find it...

My Autoenginuity does not interface with my 95, so I was working blind when the abs light came on last year. I checked the sensor circuits and they looked good, so I pulled the module to repair the solder connections to the pump.
Not knowing exactly where the screws were I disconnected the brake lines and removed the whole module, which was good in may case as the the screws were so tight I'm not sure if I could have broken them loose.
Having repaired a couple of XK8 modules I chose to cut a 7/8" hole opposite the pins instead of opening the case. I then used JB Weld to replace the plug.

Lights on this morning
The ABS and Trac control light came on this morning. Usually this has been an intermittent and goes off on a restart, but did not today. So, after looking through some old posts, I found the one Doug wrote about fiddling with the connectors and that worked. I guess this means the module is ok and the wires need some work?

Maybe. Or maybe not.
When fussing with the wires at the module you are also fussing with the circuit board a bit. The movement/jostling about might be restoring contact in a bad solder joint on the board. One of those fiddle factor type of things.

I had a similar experience of an intermittent fault causing the traction and abs lights to come on, and had managed to convince myself that it was dry solder in the module. Then I noticed it only happened when someone was sitting in the rear seat, on the left hand side....
On removing the rear seat cushion, I discovered that the wiring from the left hand rear wheel sensor connects to the loom under the rear seat, precisely where the seat springing contacts the floor. As the seat spring was compressed by someone sitting on it, the connection must have been squeezed apart marginally, activating the warning lights. Easy to fix you might think, but amazingly, there is no free play in the loom or the sensor cable, so it couldn't be routed away from the pressure point. I ended up "reprofiling" the seat spring, and the fault has not reappeared.
Worth a try.
