That was one of the factors that tipped the balance in favour of using an XJR engine to repower my Daimler DS420, rather than building up a nice 4.2 XK engine and putting Megasquirt on it. I've already done an MS conversion and it's an incredible amount of work to do the tuning and get it running somewhat close to OEM quality. Much easier to use an existing ECU.

In this case the XJR engine ended up being quite a bit cheaper, as I bought a non running car and fixed it; plus I will get about 100 hp more than I could get from the old 4.2.
