Unused connector in overhead console, what is it?
While replacing my rear-view mirror, I found a unused small blue two-wire connector taped up with the harness. Any idea what it is for?
I wondered if it may be for the in-car mobile phone overhead microphone?
Please see the photo below of the connector in question.

If it is for the mobile phone microphone, I'd be curious if it tied into the harness that terminates in the d-shell serial "RS-232" type connector in the trunk that connected to the mobile phone processor.
If so, this might be yet another point where one could send signal or low voltage power to the trunk through an existing harness without cutting anything.
I'll try to find some time to look at the wiring manual, but curious if anyone else knows off-hand.
