USA XJR6, how many O2 sensors, locations and part numbers?
While I'm doing various refreshing at the 100k mile and 22 year mark, I may be looking at getting new O2 sensors.
Looking at Jaguar Classic Part's diagram and parts list, they don't specify how many O2 sensors a USA spec XJR6 has, their locations and part numbers. They only list one O2 sensor for the 4.0 liter, being the front O2 sensor, part number LHE1682AA
I seem to recall that USA spec X300s have three O2 sensors, although my memory certainly has been known to be faulty at times
What I recall is the following:
1) Ahead of/above the front header catalyst
2) Immediately following/below the front header catalyst
3) Following after the middle catalyst
Checking Rock Auto, they only reference the LHE1682AA O2 sensor, and say it is for both upstream and downstream.
Can anyone confirm the arrangement and part numbers?

You'll have four sensors, same part number for all.
From memory.....originally there were two part numbers, the only difference being the length of the wires. This was consolidated to a single part number, presumably with the longer wires.
These are titania sensors. Make sure you don't end up with generic replacements.
I think I found NGK replacement for about $100 each....years ago.
Mine is a Xj6L, before I took mine off I had 4 sensors. Two above the CAT's two below the CAT's on the downpipes. There were none before or after the underfloor CAT's
if you can't source a crush washer you can buy a cheap 12 mm spark plug . Autolite 4163 .The engine plug is 14 mm
The O2 sensor connectors have the same 3 wire colors on the ECU side with the exception of 1 . This 1 wire determains the sensor location .
Try to keep the original sensors in there original location and on your first startup let the ECU see them . From what I understand changing to many O2 sensors require a ECU reorientation so if you do 1 at a time and drive in between so the ECU sees and adjust for the 1 changed you might save a trip and money to the Jaguar dealer . Just a theory

From what I have read , NTK are the oem and the best price I have found is at Rock Auto.
That would be good news as the NTK are just about the least expensive at Rock Auto. Even the Denso are inexpensive, which is a brand I generally trust.
The NTK's are the OEM sensor, and also have that advantage of being slimmer than the others. The space to get at the rear lower sensor is very tight, a slimmer sensor is a big advantage.
