Default Valve seat contact width

Hi everyone!

I'm currently working on a cylinder head of an AJ16 XJR. My exhaust valves are quite pitted and kind of burned so I'm having an experienced friend helping me re-grinding them and the valve seats. I have the AJ16 manual pdf and I've been searching for all measurements and angles needed, but I can't find anything about the contact width of the valve seat.

Does anyone know this?

And I don't see any specs unique for the supercharged version, aren't the inlet valves bigger on those engines? And is the valve lift the same on N/A and SC?

In very grateful for any kind of help here!

Yes I've seen that, but it only shows a picture of how high the valve should be seated, in my mind a kind of strange thing to emphasize... It doesn't really help I'm afraid. Thanks anyway!

I believe the valves are the same between the supercharged and normally aspirated. Earlier engines have the same part number for both exhaust valves.
Cams have different part numbers, so I'm assuming the profiles are different.

The number on the cam is a blank part # before machining down

So it might be hard to nail down which cam is installed unless TSB 03.1 - 05 has been performed and notated properly

Something I picked up from reading without knowing for fact

So I'm assuming that even if the cams have different profiles, the clearence is the same because the manual only show one spec.

Or is there a specific manual for the supercharged version? I haven't found one at least!

I really hope that someone who's done a valve Job on these can share some experience here. Otherwise I have to look at some other similar engine for the specs...

There should be someone to come along

But the weather here in the states is cold and snowy right now

I have in mind someone in New Zealand off the top of my head that I think did a valve job on the SC version

The cylinder heads are the same between except for the camshafts, The clearances between the lobes and valves are the same.
