Installed my suede upholstered headliner. Have a little crease coming out the corner of the overhead console from when it folded to get in the car I assume. Hopefully it'll work itself out. Looks pretty deep though. I could live with it. Installed a dual channel dash cam and ran the wire from the front to the rear camera while the headliner and Apillars were out.

Had the fuel pump replaced so I took her for a nice spin. She's running great. Back to being the daily driver

New airfilter after 5000 km. Looked surprisingly dirty. Drove the car to a wedding in Sweden. About 6 hours in total. No codes and a pleasant drive. Averaged 24.5 mpg us, 29.4 mpg UK , 9.6 l/100km.

Replaced the right hand X300 headlights with X308 lenses and brackets, as well as a plug & play harness for converting the connectors that I built so that I don't have to butcher the stock wiring harness.

Why only the right hand side you say? .... I started too late on Sunday and also thought it might be a good idea to be sure I didn't screw anything up and have both sides fail.

Anyway, all is well with the change, so I'll swap out the left hand side later this week.

BTW the low beam X300 lens just disintegrated when I pulled it off. The years of heat had done them in, and is also why the glass separated which was my final straw to change these out.

Been there done that , you'll probably end up with an extra about 16 pin connector on the right of the column that goes nowhere . Clean your cabin temp sensor fan while you're there mine was awful . I cleaned out the old stiff grease in the column position sensor gearing ( clips off on the other side of that silver motor in pic , must be clocked on assembly ) as my Lady P . was to not move causing overnight battery drain . Jaguar TSB puts in a more powerfull motor to overcome this .

Default Did it FOR my X300's Rather than TO Them...

This one belongs to Pick-n-Pull Dallas West; but I've snagged the following for potential future fitment to one of my 3, should the need arise:
Dual cooling fans mounted in a somewhat knackered shroud
Crankshaft Position Sensor
Oil Cooler Bypass horseshoe with barrells
ABS Module (non traction control)
Security and Locking Module
Passenger Seat Control Module
Headlight knob
Heater water valve and pump
Engine bay fuel feed and return lines
Cam Cover
5 Lucas Coils
Auto dimming mirror in need of refurbishing
Fuel pump bracket
Left Front side-marker light
Mass Airflow Sensor
2 boot vents

Total investment was less than $175!!!

Just now thought of it...but I shoulda grabbed the T-stat housing while I was in there...

As an interesting aside, I've also included a pic from the ROW52 app of what I expected to find....even though "Color Gold" and the pic don't quite match

Mapping out a repair of the original Jaguar stereo control head display LCD . Lady P's is very bad with ghosting and 25 % inter pane etching . Hope I can crack the code and spiff her up . Got it all apart and it's a OKI MSM5265 LCD driver i'm sure is fine , it's the screen repair I'll have to delaminate and look into .

Didn't do it today, but took all my door panels out, headliner, sunroof panel, piece on the trunk lid, door handles out, and took it to a body shop for a complete respray. Probably spending more than its worth, but its a great car that isn't looking as great as it runs, so.....

The door handle gaskets were sourced from Welsh. I also bought a new antenna gasket. I will be reusing the welt? on the sunroof panel.

Boy, been there and done that many times

I've got so many spare Jaguar and Buick parts in my garage I can probably start my own wrecking yard! But it's a good deal that's hard to pass up. We've got four major pick-and-pull yards within about an hour of my home, so there is usually a lot available.

Finished up my X308 headlight installation yesterday, just need to aim them this evening. I'm putting in new yellow Hella bulbs in the fog lights later today, fixing (I hope) the right hand dash defroster vent that rattles, and am measuring the 3rd/high-mount brake light masked area on the rear window as I've given up re-gluing it several times. I think I'm going to make some sort of larger plate/bracket from black ABS that I'll adhere to the glass over a larger area then just screw the light fixture to the ABS.... it's a mental work-in-progress.

Really needed to change the oil this weekend, but other things came up. So next weekend it is.

Refit the crank damper to SpruceBruce that I'd loaned out some months ago. Spent a fair portion of the morning looking for the new radiator bushes I thought I had. Finally decided, screw it, I'm losing the shade and it only needs to go 50 feet to get in the shop, it'll be fine sans bushes, and slapped it in place, hooked up top and bottom hoses and xmsn oil cooler lines. Had just lifted out the condenser, so zip-tied the a/c lines and cooling fan harness out of harm's way. Now then, just fit the alternator belt, the radiator top panel and top it up with distilled and it'll be good to come round and into the shop soon's I clear it a space!

Dammit! Where'd I put the radiator top panel fasteners?!? Ahh well, that'll be an easy fit without the condenser in there, even if I have to do it in full heat and sunshine. Let's go start clearing a space inside. (several hours later) Shazaam! There's a box labeled, "X300 radiator and condenser bushes" perched atop the Jeep's air cleaner housing. Let's see, sho'nuff, 4 radiator bushes, 2 lower condenser and 8 upper condenser bushes! Also happened across the drive belts I removed from my 95 daily driver during maintenance a coupla years ago, those'll be fine for Bruce - went out and fit the Alt. belt despite the searing sunshine.

Much much later with the sun setting, I'm looking for a suitable container to put fan-blade screws in as I remove the blades from a ceiling fan I've been stepping over for a year+ and I grab an "Equate disinfectant wipes" plastic cannister from the middle of my main work-table but it's not empty. Whazzat? aha, there's my radiator top panel fixings! Knew I'd seen them recently, but had already exhausted all my favorite hiding places. So I put that container and the used a/c belt in the right front seat of Bruce so when/if I do get round to bringin him in, I'll be able to find them.

Aholbro, you sound like me. I have three feeler gauges, 8 or so sets of Allen keys, cos I can never find anything...

Today, my XJR sprung a sudden big power steering fluid leak right down at the steering rack. Pissing out... can't really drive it far. Hopefully only an O-ring. My mechanic will pick it up next week and drive to his premises - about 3 miles and it will probably need a couple of top-ups on the way. Luckily I bought a 4L pack of DX-III, not just a 1 liter....

And today the XJR is back, fixed. It was just an O-ring or seal where the metal pipes attach to the rack. sorted.
I'll drive the car again tomorrow...
