Notice the elongated mounting holes to keep track of when reinstalling the switch back on the transmission

No bridge

The contact strips on the bottom 2 are the same so it's a redundant feature in case one " lifts off " of contact , this increases the reliability

Your focus is pin 6 ( Green / Orange wire ) and 7 ( Red / Orange ) for the stater relay command ground path through the switch

So you have 6 soldier points for 6 pins on the top of the pic

The rotary pivot probably has 2 contact brushes to bring the total to 8 pins

Probably the best you can do with the pivot point brushes is an alcohol wash and not a solvent that may damage or warp the fine plastics in the pivot point , this is probably your fluid intrusion area and not the O - ring seal

Looks like the 5 pin is not used , pin map backwards ?

Pin 1 should go to car frame ground < and this 1 pin should be in the corner of the connector as a orientation

With lever on #1, #5, #6 have 12v in Park, Move shifter out of P #6 got to zero but in neutral #6 has 12v again so I believe rotary switch is working

Your 6 volt readings are valid as this seems to be the feeling voltage on the breakout sheet

No the map is correct, I'm not going by the connector I'm going by the solder points on the plate,,, So what would be next? BPM ? The TPM ?

There is a BPM reset for your US model

[QUOTE=Parker 7;2574744]There is a BPM reset for your US model

Are you referring to the hard reset by holding battery cables together ?? If so I already tried that, if not wha is it please

Yes , I found by clamping them together over night the better

someone used Tywrasp and I use a battery jumper cable ( overkill )

Must put something over the battery post to not make contact

I was just at a salvage yard so there are fresh pickings on a X300 that just came in like a BPM or a rotary switch

The Body Processor Module is continuing to provide a ground on the Red / White color wire

Ok , So if I'm reading this right, The Brake switch & Not In Park switch both send a signal to the BPM, Which then sends signal to Key lock relay & key lock solenoid ,Also Gearshift interlock relay & gearshift interlock solenoid, Either circuit will prevent crank and give me the lights?

The BPM is looking for all agreements / enables on the left side and then provides a command ground for the 2 relays for the interlock solenoids

Thinking on your last sentence in how this ties into the starter solenoid relay but the agreements / enables are a different set of devices in the starter solenoid circuit

So this raises the question of what goes on inside the box which you may not ihave information about clouding up what information you do have

In the end the BPM must provide a command ground for the starter solenoid relay so a test light bulb that you can see from the cabin by yourself may be helpful , this test bulb at the starter solenoid relay will be confirming your rotary position switch path is good or not as 1 of 2 possibilities , either the BPM is not providing the command ground, or the rotary position switch is not enabling a ground path

Have you swapped this starter solenoid relay as it may be marginaly failed in a manor and not totally ?

I think you changed the starter but someone recently did find a starter assembly connection loose

The question is if the BPM is being powered by the fuse in the trunk ? This involves a connector to learn it,'s precaution about before tinkering with the connector
