White sludge on dipstick
I first saw it when I got this car that sat for 3 years under a tree.
I got a negative test for exhaust gases in the coolant.
where else should I look?
thank you, tom
Sludge. This after new oil filter and oil change. The same as I had before oil change.
Testing
After I blew into the tester with a straw. Turned yellow right away.

That appears to be nothing more then condensation. You mentioned it sat for 3 years? Was it in a moist area? Not having a thermostat in it, could be a likely cause as it usually evaporates the condensation out through the PCV when it gets to operating temp, and is run at full temp for extended periods. Might be a good idea to pull a valve cover, and see the extent of the sludge. Then decide whether or not to flush it out with some Kerosene, and change the oil and filter again. If it's not excessive, and you drive the car regularly. It should clear up, might take a couple oil changes though.
