will 18" Asteroids fit X300?
I suspect the answer is Yes.
I had assumed Asteroids are off X300s, but I see from the "tramlining" thread that everyone is discussing 17" tyres on XJRs.
I have a set of reparable but damaged Asteroids with 18 x 255/40 tyres sitting in the man-shed, not mine but on "appro" from the dismantlers.
I can buy them and send them to be fixed, but no point if offsets etc, are all wrong for the X300
Will they fit?
thanks

thanks Ziggy
I finally got the Asteroids into a local wheel guy today who says he can straighten them
They are 18" of X308 and I want to put them on X300 - is that OK to do?
I assume offsets are the same - is X308 suspension almost the same as X300? I thought the main change in 300 to 308 was the move to a V8 engine..

FWIW I have X308 wheels on my X300. In my case they're the standard XJ8 wheels.
They fit fine *except* at the front, where the wheel center holes foul the wheel bearing dust caps.
I very artfully reshaped the contour of the dust caps. With a hammer and drift
All's well.
Not sure if you have the same problem with the wheels you've mentioned.
Cheers
