Will this remote work?
I was wondering if anyone of these two remotes will work in my 1997 XJ6? Thanks.

RE: Will this remote work?
No, and no. The correct remote is oval, maybe teardrop-shaped is a better description. Having said that, you still can't match oneby looks unless youalso insure that it isthe correct frequency.
If money is not the problem, the remotes were still available through Jaguar last time I checked. They are in excess of $200.00, but at least you'll be buying a proper and functioning unit. Send me a PM if you want me to hunt down the best price for one.
I have not seen an alternative style or source that will work with your car, perhaps others have.

Thanks for the reply: I think I found the correct one, what do you think? Does my car need 433.92 or 315 MHZ? It is a XJ6L production date 12/96.

Seems like a good buy at $95

RE: Will this remote work?
The remote for my '97 VDP is a DBC11512, 433.92 MHz.
You might want to direct the question of application to the guy who's selling it, I don't have that information in front of me at present. I didn't see the word "new" inhis description, you might want to ask about that too. Good hunting.
