Hi
I have a Daimler 6 1995 which has a Leather gear knob, but I’ve seen a Daimler 12 95' with the Walnut knob. Was it an option?
The original brochure for Daimler 1995 just states 'Walnut or Leather gearshift lever' Not stating which car. As my lever is quite worn I thought an upgrade to Walnut might improve the looks. Any comments appreciated.
thanks

For North America, only the XJ12 came with a wood shift knob, the rest of the range was leather wrapped. I suspect the Daimler 6 would be leather, as that was similar to the Jaguar Vanden Plas, and the Double Six would be wood. You could buy a wood knob from the accessory catalogue, part number was JAG162. Photos of the XJ12 interior from the 1996 Product Guide, and the JAG 162 knob.
Hi
These pics are from 1995 UK Daimler Brochure, the knob appear not to have an insignia on top, and no fluting on the sides. I agree probably the Double 6 V12 had the wooden knob, as the spec is very slightly higher as standard than the 6. Better seats fitted ruched leather, with contrast piping, traction control, cd auto changer. not a great deal better.
