Default X 300 Throttle pedal Rubber Daimler 6 1995

Hi
As a very new member and not even having collected the car yet, one item I know I need is a throttle pedal rubber. Can’t imagine why it’s not there but :
Where would I find one?
Is it compatible with many other vehicles.
can anyone send me a pic of what it should look like?
Hope someone can advise.
thanks
B

Hi,

I can't speak for the 1995 Daimler 6, but my 97 VDP has a molded plastic pedal with no rubber as shown in the photo. The brake pedal does have a rubber pad though.

It does look like there was a different design out there as well, which might explain why the Daimler had a rubber pad.

Hope this helps.

CCC6762 (NLA) appears to fit XJS too. I can see how it could turn up missing. Mine has slipped off before.

Hi
I managed to find a pedal rubber in the UK, based on the info you supplied, it looks right. Anyway let’s see.
Am I right in assuming that in most respects, the Daimler six and double 6 conform to X300 specifications for parts etc, just the trim level that differs.
I managed to find an original brochure from 1995, for the D6 and Double 6, and there is a discrepancy on the body length from some info sheets to another. Brochure says it’s 502 cm overall, but some specs say 512cm.
Perhaps they are the LWB.

1995 setup. New rubber brake pedal pad. It is rectangular. I think the accelerator pad is plastic?

Pedal size does not correspond to pedal ability!!

Yes, for the most part the Daimlers will have more standard equipment and fewer optional things than a corresponding market Jaguar. Mechanically they will be the same. You will see variances in different markets too, for example the Daimler trim is basically the same as a Jaguar Vanden Plas in North America, but even there, there are differences between a USA market VDP and a Canadian VDP.

Hi
Thanks to all, I received the pedal pad from Norman Motors in UK. It’s hard plastic and slides on perfect.Unfortunately it was his last one. Nice guy very helpful, Only £14. well pleased.
