It could be that the cats weren't up to temp.

Give it a good hard drive then get them tested at a local friendly garage and see if that helps

try some FORTE, whole bottle, if not 2 into your fuel tank, and give it a good run with heavy foot before the MOT, that should help as well, just don't get the flippin' Redex, as it won't do much!

I'm sorry to inform you that your car suffers from intrusive, unchecked emissions from government regulatory offices.

yeah, it's a bit like Redex, with the difference this actually works. And it is highly unlikely that you'll find it in any shop like Halfords, as Forte sells their products directly to garages. But you can still find it on good old eBay

Forte Advanced Formula Petrol Gas Conditioner Injector system Cleaner Treatment | eBay

I've found out about on Focus Owners forum, and tried it on the Jag, with rather good results! All the best mate!

All the best with the next test.

As per the others, I always give any car I take for testing a really good blast beforehand to shake out the cobwebs and get things up to temp.

Then arrive at the appointed time.

(redex smells nice though)

How about trying some diagnostics before changing parts? Like what are the LTFT and STFTs doing? What temperature do you read on the temperature sensor. All of these can be read on a scanner that costs less than any one of the parts you are replacing!

i personally would recommend CATACLEAN - its about £18 a bottle and add to a 1/2 tank of fuel then take it for a hard drive down the motorway, ive done this no end of times and it works, also ensure the cats are upto temp when they get to the MOT station,
