X300 Speaker Sizes

I have a 1997 XJ6 L. I cannot find the speaker sizes from the dealership, e-bay or crutchfield. I need to know the sizes of the dash tweeters, the front and rear door speakers and the rear dash speakers. If anyone has replaced the speakers in thier X300 please help me. I am at my wits end trying to find this out. My mechanic said he can find out by taking a bunch of stuff apart, but I want to have the speakers before he does it so it won't be the extra cost of him doing it twice. I will be completely grateful for any helpful information. OH, and if you know the depth that would be great too.

I want to say the door speakers are 5.25 (as most door speakers are) although some people cram 6.5 in there. But even in my dad's previous 2000 XJR I think we had 5.25 Alpine door size speaker. The only difference was the 9" sub in the back window I believe. As far as tweeters...your best bet would be 3.5 But check out either CircuitCity.com or BestBuy.com that have car audio departments. I dont know where you are but I think they're both nationwide. But anyways they have FIT GUIDES when you specify your vehicle so you know what speakers, cd players, etc, will work with your car. Hope this helps!! Oh yea, considering I own a '93 XJ6 I replaced my door speakers with 5.25 too. I highly doubt they made the speakersd any better on a '97 XJ6.

I installed 6.5" Polks inmy XJ6.Make sure the mountsmatch the factory screw holes or you'll have to drill hold to match mounts.Crutchfield sells only 6.5" for XJ6 models and they all fit without any mods.
