X300 vs X308 rear wishbone question

I'm working on changing the rear shocks on my 1995 XJ12. The through bolt is rusted to the shock and lower wish bone. I could possibly work it out, but I have a pair of wish bones from an X308 on hand.
I know the part numbers between the 1995 wishbones and X308 wishbones are different, but are there actual dimensional differences between the two? Could I use the X308 wishbones on the 95 XJ12 with out modifications?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,
I don't know if there were any differences between the rear lower wishbones on the X300 6-cylinder cars and the X305 12-cylinder cars, but if you will check the part numbers at parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com, you'll find that the X300 part numbers have been superseded to the same numbers as those for the X308.
For both the X300 and X308, the latest part number for the rear right lower wishbone is MNG2960AA
The rear left lower wishbone part number is MNG2961AA
Unless there was some difference in the 12-cylinder wishbones, I don't think you have anything to lose by test-fitting your spare control arms.
Cheers,
Don

Thank you. Yes, the XJ6 and XJ12 wish bones are the same. I was able to get the bolts out by man handling the 2 wish bones and link bar assembly on to my 20 ton press. I only managed to bend one shock bolt. I will probably still go with the X308 arms as they are in a bit better condition and I have them on hand.
